What you can trade, what it costs, how much you can hold, and how long for.
- Approved products and commissionsExchange listed futures on CME, COMEX, NYMEX and CBOT, plus their micro contracts, at $0.10 per contract per side.
- Contract limitsA mini limit and a micro limit, both set by your drawdown. Ten micros count as one standard contract.
- Hold times, overnight and weekend positionsNo minimum hold time anywhere. Overnight and weekend holds are an evaluation restriction only.
- Trading around news releasesAn evaluation rule only. Flat at least two minutes before a scheduled tier one release, and you may re-enter once prices have settled.
- Copy trading, hedging and automationCopy across your own evaluations, never hedge, and place every evaluation trade by hand.
This rule book is the plain language statement of the rules ONYX applies. Where it differs from the Terms of Use, or from the documentation you sign for a live account, that document governs.
The evaluation is simulated trading. No real capital and no real market execution are involved in it, and passing an evaluation does not guarantee placement: a live account is offered at the discretion of the firm and subject to broker approval. Trading futures and options carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Hypothetical performance results have inherent limitations, some of which are described under CFTC Rule 4.41.
